We’re excited to announce the release of our new unified search function, the first feature to be rolled out as part of Sitka 3.0. It has been designed to streamline and simplify event discovery, making it a breeze for users to find what they’re looking for.
What is unified search?
Unified search, also known as universal search, is an all-encompassing search function that allows users to find information across multiple categories within a single search interface.
Transforming the event experience
What this means for our event apps (or digital event companions) is that there is now a consistent search bar at the top of every page. No matter where users are in the app, they’re always just a tap away from finding exactly what they need.
With a single search query, users can access relevant results from across the entire app, from exhibitors and products to map locations and live events. As users type, results dynamically narrow down, quickly guiding them to the most relevant information. Plus, with easy access to search history, they can quickly revisit their past queries.

Unified search will make its debut at PLASA Show 2024 at Olympia London in September 2024.
For us, this is just the start of an innovative new chapter in event app functionality, with many more features to come. It represents a huge leap forward in making events more accessible, engaging, and valuable for all.
